Outreach Volunteer - Diabetes UK Scotland

Project volunteers help raise awareness of the Patient Held Summary and Diabetes UK at local events.

Set up a stall and exhibit the leaflets to promote the project
Engage members of the general public in a friendly and enthusuastic manner to raise awareness of Diabetes, the Patient Summery and Diabetes UK
Offer appropriate Diabetes UK publications/materials
Recruit people with diabetes to participate in the project
To motivate people who have diabetes to access and use their Patient Held record
Answer general enquiries and direct any medical or other specific questions to the appropriate member of staff and/or refer to Careline
Encourage people with diabetes to leave their details so that we can forward them further information
Keep in touch with Diabetes UK to let us know where you are distributing our information an let us know how you are getting on
