Volunteer Visitor/ sight action

To visit a client on a regular basis for a limited period of time in order to achieve some specific goals.
This could be working with the client to find community groups in which he/she could participate, accompanying him/her to IT lessons, introducing someone to a local support group.
Work type: Befriending/Mentoring.
Client group: sensory impairment,
Experience required: An interest in people, skills in listening and the ability to communicate with a wide range of members of the public are essential.  The role requires reliability, honesty and trustworthiness.
Restrictions: Volunteers will be required to complete a PVG application form.
Hours required:Volunteers should be able to provide a minimum of 3 to 4 hours a month.  Days and times will be arranged to suit and may occasionally involve volunteering at the weekend.
