Youth Work - The Girl's Brigade in Scotland

Ref 40 - 884

Working in your local area to deliver a programme of varied activites for girls from P1-S6. Develop your skills in leadership, relationship building and team work while having fun and making new friends.

GBS operates a four sided programme of physical, educational, spiritual and service activites for girls and young women.  By volunteering to work with a local Comapny in your area you would, under guidance, work with girls on a weekly basis, in a variety of settings.  Companies normally meet on a week night in the local Church or school.

You would have an opportunity to discuss with leaders what skills you have and what you want to develop so that your time can be used effectively.

By giving an hour or two of your time each week you can contribute to the local community and Church by helping young people to develop skills and self esteem while, at the same time, expanding your own hroizons through access to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, etc.

Give your time to Girls' Brigade and reap the benefits of a lively, positive experience.
