Horticulture/Gardening Volunteer - New Start Highland

New Start Highland is an organisation that recycles unwanted household items, provides practical assistance to people who have been homeless and are moving into their own tenancies, and is a training provider for people who are unemployed.


To help with the work of New Start Horticulture by;

• Assisting with the maintenance of grass surfaces
• Assisting with propagation of plants from seed and cuttings
• Assisting with the maintenance of plants and trees
• Assisting with the maintenance of borders and beds and other garden features
• Assisting with hard and soft landscaping
• Using tools and machinery
• Helping maintain tools and machinery
• Ensuring all areas are clean and tidy at all times
• Communicating with other members of staff in a friendly way
