Volunteers will have the opprtunity to assist with school visits as well as family and holiday workshops where typical activities range from exploring woods and ponds, playing environmental games and using art and crafts to support their learning. Possibilty to design and deliver educational activities with supervision from the Education Officer. Experience and training. Knowledge that the role you will be carrying out will be playing a vital part in inspiring young people about the natural world. Development of your own confidence in working with young people. Experience of working with young people for a well-known environmental charity. Knowing that you are helping young people's learning. Relevant training for the role e.g. Child Safety and Wlefare, risk assessment, Health and Safety. You will be a valuable member of a professional team. References are available.
References will be sought and registration with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme is required. This will be arranged by the RSPB at no cost to the volunteer.

Transport can be arranged within reason or reasonable volunteers' travel expenses up to a maximum of 30 miles will be paid)
