Counter Collection Box Co-ordinator - Action for Children (Fundraising)

The role involves raising both funds and awareness of Action for Children through the placement and management of existing and new Counter Collection boxes in your community. Action for Children can not achieve their vision of every child realising their unique potential without the support of our amazing volunteers. By raising invaluable funds and awareness, you will help us to deliver to the children and young people who need it the most.

Need to have a friendly efficent manner and good customer care, efficent manner and good customer care, efficient in administration and organisation of activities able to develop relationships with people from all backgrounds. Develop links with potential collection sites in the community.
Initiating a programme to ensure that sites are regularly visited, even if only to say 'hello'.
Collecting boxes as appropriate and leaving new boxes in their place. Counting donations (and buttons) from boxes and ensuring accurate receipting and accounting of income, in accordance with Action for Children. Reporting, banking and Administrative Procedures. Sending thank you letters/ certificates to outlets with details of amount raised.
