Conservation Assistants - Coille Alba

COILLE ALBA runs a number of conservation projects focussing on native woodland management.  These all depend on volunteer input.   Most of our volunteering opportunities involve working out of doors.

Himalayan balsam control:   We are controlling this invasive non-native plant in a number of locations.  Himalayan balsam is cut or uprooted.
Tree nursery:   We help run a tree nursery  which is based in Kincraig.
We also occasionally plant trees, and undertake a variety of surveys.

(Most of our project work takes place in 3 locations: around Inverness, Drumnadrochit and  Kincraig.)
