Calling all volunteers with an interest in music, community arts, band management, events organisation, youth work or fun!

Press Play is a youth street-drumming group with around 20 members ranging in age from 11 – 15, based in Nairn. We are looking for energetic volunteers who can spare up to 2 hours a week to attend rehearsals and provide support to the band’s leader. No musical experience is necessary – an ability to learn as you go is more important.

Volunteer activities may include helping set up the room, taking a register, assisting the group leader with activities or group discussions and helping pack up at the end of rehearsals. Good people skills and a sense of fun are required.

The volunteer role within the group is flexible, and can be defined based on your skills or interests. If you have youth work experience, there will be opportunities to take on a supervision role as desired.

This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the Highlands’ only street drumming groups. Volunteers will experience music making activities that are informal and creative, and will attend a whole range of gigs at festivals, parties and outdoor events.
