On a weekly basis a group of people who use our service go swimming - this is both for fun and for health benefits. Each individual has a physiotherapy programme which is carried out by our trained member of staff. We use the hydrotherapy pool at Drummond school, this has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and has qualified staff available at all times.
Successful volunteers would have the opportunity to work with staff and learn the different exercises required by individuals.
Due to the nature of the activity there may be some personal assistance required, such as drying and dressing.
We require the volunteer to hold a current and clean driving licence as we transport our swimmers to and from the Drummond swimming pool in our minibus. However there may be an opportunity for non drivers dependant on the size of the swimming group.
