RoWAN ZERO WASTE VOLUNTEER - Ross-shire Waste Action Network (Inverness)

Ref 40 -1730

Want to help people cut waste? Become a Zero Waste Volunteer and make a difference for the environment, find out about waste issues, meet others who are keen on composting, gardening, growing their own food for cooking, learn new skills that might help you in future jobs and have a good time. Rowan is a small charity baised in the Highlands and our aim is to help people cut their waste. Our volunteer programme is part of a national scheme funded by Zero Waste Scotland.

Volunteer tasks include promoting composting, foodwaste reduction, peat free gardening, and other aspects of waste reduction and recycling. You can help promote these by talking to neighbours or colleagues, attending events, distributing leaflets and posters or helping with office work. If you care about reducing waste, this is a great opportunity to make a difference. RoWAN will provide full training, support and cover expenses if you can spare a few hours a month. All you need is an enthusiasm to help people take action.
