Management Committee Member - Ross-shire Waste Action Network (Inverness)

Ref 40 - 1747

RoWAN is looking for Management Committee members to support our staff and projects and to guide the future of the organisation. RoWAN is a waste awareness charity based in Highland whose aim is to help people cut their waste. The charity was formed 10 years ago and has carried out a range of successful projects with communities and schools. It is currently funded to run a Zero Waste Volunteer Programme by Zero Waste Scotland, and a schools and communities project by the Climate Challenge Fund. It is managed by a Management Committee which meets once a month on a Tuesday evening. More Committee.

There are currently 5 management committee members, most of whom have been involved with RoWAN for many years and are also Directors with legal responsibility for the charity. New members are needed as several members have recently left. In addition, RoWAN is at a stage where there needs to be careful consideration of the future direction of RoWAN and committee members will need to input to this process. Any new management committee members would not initially have the full legal responsibility of Directors, but this might be an option at a later stage.

(Meetings take place at various locations but usually in or around Dingwall/ Evanton to suit members)
