ADOPT-A- BEACH/BEACHWATCH ORGANISER - Marine Conservation Society

Ref 40 - 60

Help the Marine Conservation Society stem the tide of marine litter. By organising beach litter surveys, you can collect valuable information for use locally, nationally and internationally.

BEACHWATCH is the flagship marine litter survey project of the Marine Conservation Society, taking place the third weekend of every September. Beachwatch is the beach clean event mobilising thousands of volunteers every September.
Those organisers wanting to help throughout the year can adopt their local beach through the MCS Adopt-A-Beach project and conduct seasonal surveys.  The informatiion collected can be used locally and is also invaluable for campaigning by MCS against litter at  a national and international level.  Register with the Marine Conservation Society and help stem the tide of marine litter.

(Beachwatch or Adopt-A-Beach organisers arrange the location of their surveys. Individuals can also register as volunteers and MCS will put them  in touch with local organisers.)
