Fundraiser - Headway Highland (Nairn)

Ref 44 - 1587

A person, who can advise or even join the committee, who has experience of applying for grants and arranging general fundraising events.

This Scottish charity (SC023551) affiliated to Headway – the brain injury association, is going through a crucial development stage in its history. A recent skills audit of the current trustees identified a need for a volunteer, who has experience in fund raising.

The charity’s objectives include improving the welfare of people who have suffered brain injury and to provide support to their carer’s. The group is currently expanding its services to areas outwith Inverness, the first such support group having been established in Fort William recently with Wick to follow later this calendar year. Funding is required to enable us to employ a development worker to build up these start-ups as well as sustaining the existing group in the city and surrounding area. Someone with some experience of applying for grants and having ideas on fund raising in general would be very welcome either to join the committee of to act as an adviser.
